StarGro: Building i* Metrics for Agile Methodologies

چکیده
Requirements management is one of the cornerstone activities in software development. Agile methodologies use dedicated methods, techniques and artifacts in order to implement this activity. Remarkably, Backlog Grooming is the activity of managing and welcoming changing requirements in SCRUM. However, current industrial practices in agile development still tend to render this process in the shape of a list of statements, features and bug fixes that often leads to a blurred view of the goals of the project, the underestimation of client’s needs and the decrease of the ability to respond to changes. In this paper we outline an approach that uses goal and agent oriented modelling techniques in order to fill in this “intentional” gap that current industrial approaches

Software Metrics in Agile Software: An Empirical Study
This paper presents a software metrics analysis of eight object-oriented systems. Five systems had been developed using Agile methodologies and three using plan-driven methodologies; three systems were written in Python and five in Java. For each system, we considered 10 traditional metrics such as LOC and the Chidamber and Kemerer metrics. These metrics were computed at class level. In our stu...

The aim of this case study is to improve existing software development process in a project for the public administration, following the basic principles of agile methodologies. Appropriate metrics for continuous evaluation of the process are introduces to help ev...
متن کاملAligning Adoption Theory with Agile System Development Methodologies
Studies show that many software developers are reluctant, for a variety of reasons, to employ system development methodologies (SDMs) in the course of building their applications. The proponents of Agile methodologies suggest that many of the factors that have inhibited the use of SDMs to date have largely been addressed in the underlying principles of Agile methods. Using adoption theory as a ...
متن کاملEmpirical study of Software Quality Evaluation in Agile Methodology Using Traditional Metrics
The use of highly iterative software development methodologies, such as Agile and Lean, have been growing. However, these methodologies do not explicitly provide practices for managing and measuring software quality. This deficiency may prevent software development organizations in critical domains from transforming from traditional development to highly iterative development. These organizatio...
